of Plaks Fellowship in support of advanced graduate students (PhD, or outstanding MA
candidates) at Hebrew University, engaged in in-depth research in traditional Chinese or
Japanese humanities (history, literature, philosophy, religion, archaeology, art history, etc.)
Louis Frieberg Center International Travel Support (ITS) in the field of East Asian Studies (2023)
The Louis Frieberg Center for East Asian Studies offers financial assistance for MA students, Doctoral candidates, and post-Doctoral scholars who plan to travel abroad in March 2023- September 2023 for the purpose of conference participation or short-term research in the field of East Asian studies (specifically, but not confined to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Mongolian studies).

התוכנית מציעה לסטודנטים בעלי תואר ראשון-שני להיות "סטודנט למחקר" באוניברסיטה ביפן למשך שנתיים או שנה וחצי, לרבות עבודת המחקר עם אפשרות להאריך את תקופת המלגה ולהמשיך במסלול לימודי תואר שני או שלישי.
התחום: פתוח לכל התחומים, כל עוד שאפשר ללמוד באוניברסיטה ביפן.

Government of India is offering scholarships to Israeli nationals to pursue courses from Undergraduate studies to Post-doctoral studies across various disciplines (except MBBS,MD,MS and BDS) across 140 Indian Universities/Institutes in India. These are full scholarships which offer living allowance, house rent allowance, contingeny grant, medical benefits etc.
Xiamen University is now accepting application for the 2017 Fujian Provincial Government Scholarships which is open for all Non-Chinese Students. Fujian Government set up scholarships for exceptional international students in undergraduate, master’s or doctoral programmes. Xiamen University is the first university in China founded by overseas Chinese.
Benefits
The scholarships cover tuition, accommodation fee and cost of course materials for one academic year.
Eligibilities
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
Educational background and age limits:
* Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 30.
* Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
* Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

For the international students(degree program),
◦ Tuition fees are fully waived for international students.
◦ The Government Grant of KRW750,000 per month is provided to all of the Korean Culture and Society major and the Korean Classics and Global Communication major students as well as comparably competent students of other majors.
◦Free Korean language courses are provided to assist international students with academic writing, presentations and discussions as well as communication skills.
◦On-campus dormitory accommodations are available at the rate of KRW477,400 per semester, double occupancy.
◦A 4:1 student-faculty ratio enables close one-to-one guidance of students by professors.
◦Various kinds of courses are available including major-specific courses, interdisciplinary courses, independent study with student's own topic and research plans, and fieldwork. Students can also earn credits by publishing articles in accredited academic journals.
For the AKS Graduate Fellows,
A. Monthly allowance of KRW900,000 is provided.
B. An economy-class round trip airfare at actual expense is provided within the limit prescribed by the GSKS Travel Expenses Policy (Please see the Attachment 2 "Maximum Round-trip Airfares Per Regions").
C. Fellowship Period : 6 months
※ Applicants should select one of the fellowship periods.
D. Access to the AKS facilities including the library and Jangseogak Archives is given.
E. On-campus dormitory is available at the rate of KRW716,100 for 6 months, double occupancy.
F. Korean language courses are offered free of charge.
G. A Certificate of Completion can be issued for those who successfully completed the program.

The European Research Council (ERC) project Mobility, Empire and Cross-Cultural Contacts in Mongol Eurasia at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is offering Post-Docs, PhDs and Visiting PhD's fellowships beginning in 2015-16 for outstanding candidates fluent in Chinese, Arabic and Persian (at least one of the above) and with a sound knowledge of the history of the Mongol Empire.
