Embassy of Japan in Israel is pleased to announce you that the Embassy started a selecting candidates process of "Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2017 (Japanese Studies Student) - for Israeli Citizens".
Scholarship term is approximately 1 year from September or October 2017, and recipients of this scholarship will study Japanese language, society, culture etc., in special courses at Japanese universities.

Deadline for submitting applications to the Embassy is: Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.
Important Notice "Academic Background":
Applicants must satisfy the following two conditions.
① Applicants must be undergraduates at foreign (non-Japanese) universities majoring in fields related to Japanese language or Japanese culture at the time of arriving in and leaving Japan.
② Those who have studied the Japanese Studies at a university for a total period of one year or more as of April 2017.
